The Socratic Seminar is a critical part of our learning in English 1.
Discussions occur almost daily and are modeled after the Socratic Seminar.
Through these discussions we build community, construct knowledge, and create the impetus that will move us to imagine and innovate as a group and as individuals.
*Students who do not want to contribute out loud, will get credit if they:**
Record notes communicating their responses to questions and ideas made by others during the discussion. These written responses should reflect the criteria in columns 5 or 4 of the scoring guide at the bottom of this page.
STUDENTS MUST SUBMIT THESE NOTES AT THE END OF THE PERIOD.
